Sunshine, Water, and Friends

March 20, 2022

In the previous episode of As the Garden Grows, Sedum showed Burro's Tail some kindness at the Winter Charity Ball. Since that event, the other succulents started giving Sedum the cold shoulder. She was blacklisted from the most prestigious charity events of the season. And when she would go into the garden center for fertilizer, she would see the looks and hear the gossip from the plants she used to call friends. She became withdrawn and stopped going out, even for necessities, like water.

Burro's Tail decided to repay the kindness Sedum had shown her at the ball. She grabbed Aloe and together they went to Sedum's loft to see if they could cheer their friend up.

When they found her, she was dehydrated and solemnly sat staring out the north facing window. Her friends leapt into action immediately and gave her some water and then helped her relocate to a south facing window where she could get 3-4 hours of sunlight each day.

In no time, Sedum was feeling like a new plant, and she even started to go out and meet her friends for coffee. She vowed to keep her health up and never let the gossip get to her again.

Tune in next week to hear the latest dirt on As the Garden Grows.
