Lily was cleaning rooms and helping Aloe get the Glasshouse Resort & Spa ready for the outdoor plants' arrival. She was walking into the office to grab more supplies and saw Aloe laying unconscious on the floor. Her dirt was spilling out of her pot and one of her leaves had been cut off. Lily turned to call for help and ran into a tall plant dressed in black. He pushed her to the floor and ran from the room.
When Lily came to she was in the hospital. She asked where Aloe was, but the nurse told her to relax because she had a concussion and her friend Aloe was still in surgery.
Lily laid back and tried to think of what happened. Who was that plant? And what did he want with Aloe?

Aloe felt grateful she was able to help her friend Sedum out last week. It's no surprise that Aloe has a healing touch. She is, after all, the general manager of the Glasshouse Resort and Spa. This was Aloe's busy time of the year - where she prepares for the arrival of all the outdoor plants.
Aloe had her staff preparing all the pots by making sure they were clean and free of any unwanted microorganisms. She was stocking up on fresh soil and fertilizer, researching the latest trends so her guests would be comfortable. Everything had to be just right.
The outdoor season was the busiest season of the year. It was when all the tourists plants arrived, wanting to get out of the big greenhouses and into some fresh air. The population of this small garden town nearly doubled during the outdoor season. And only society's best of the best stayed at the Glasshouse Resort and Spa.
Lucky for us, the outdoor season is never without drama. Stay tuned to As the Garden Grows to find out what drama unfolds this season.

At the winter charity ball, Burro's Tail was jealous when her sister succulents showed up looking healthier than her. She was a veteran in the succulent social scene and was looked up to as the classy hostess of most events. She had felt confident and beautiful in her teak and brass cachepot as she left the house but soon became embarrassed when she realized she was losing leaves on her way into the ballroom.
Agave and Echeveria snickered and sneered, but Sedum quickly came to her rescue and whisked her away from the pointing and jeering. While Sedum helped Burro'sTail get cleaned up, she told her that maybe she should cut back on the fertilizing in the winter months during the dormant time and carefully increase fertilizing again during the active growing season.
Burro gave Sedum a grateful hug and returned to the ball with her head held high.
Stay tuned for next week's episode of As the Garden Grows.
